• If you've got space for a roller cabinet I think it's probably better than a tool wall.

A section of those little hanging bin things is good for nuts and bolts though.

I'm probably going to have a wall of pegboard, because although I made my bench to have a roller cab underneath I think I need the space for other stuff and I want to try and reclaim a bit of floor space to move.

The aim is to try to keep the peg board relatively clear with just awkward stuff like hammers, levels and a screwdriver set. But we'll see.

  • True that. It's not a massive garage so resisting the urge to store loads is half the battle. Great shout on those wall mounted storage tubs, that would mean I can finally sort through my tins of miscellaneous nuts/bolts and get everything labelled and visible.

Utilising the storage under the workbench like you're doing will free up a lot of floor space. If there's a dedicated thread for progress point me to it!

  • dedicated thread

Just the odd post in the diy thread. It's taking forever.

Now the structure of the bench is built including one shelf underneath I feel like there's light at the end of the tunnel, so maybe I should start a thread.

This is the current state of play:

I so wish I'd have sorted the storage before I filled it, but at the time that wasn't really an option.

This is how I used to have it when we first moved in:
