Sat on the next table to him having dinner with Mark Nicholas at a Leeds pizza restaurant in approx 2001. He was about as pissed as I was, but only one of us took 5 wickets at Headingley the next day.
He was what every sport needs every so often to stay relevant, a technical genius who is also an instinctive showman and entertainer. RIP
