  • If anyone does watch this, please provide a synopsis in the form of haiku here.

    https://plus.globalcyclingnetwork.com/watch/rapha-the-inside-story-4596629

  • The Pro Team Jacket
    Circa Two Thousand Fifteen
    Bury me in winter

  • couldn't have said it better.

  • I appear in this
Usurp my soul and charge me
    It's a cold invoice

  • Band on the left arm
Three stripes on the lower back
    Outside is not free

  • Big rapha drop on sportpursuit. Probably had the locusts in already though

  • I've found that Sport Pursuit prices aren't any better than the normal Rapha Archive sale shop. Also no free returns.

  • Is the commuting jacket just a rubbish boil in the bag jacket with a rapha logo on it?

  • Anyone got a code?

Looking to get a couple of bits before heading to tenerife.

  • M4M1L50n70U12 might work

  • Ordered a LS Core jersey on SP, £16 cheaper than archive. No much but happy enough with that.

  • Wouldn't go that far, but the build quality, particularly of the zip and hood 'fastener' isn't good enough for the price tag in my opinion.

  • Core winter jacket at £65 is a steal. I've used mine at Herne Hill, commuting etc it works across a range of temps.

  • I am wrong for even posting but this, but Liz Hurley, who knew.

  • Damn. big cringe. Maybe it's just me but I find the sexualisation of lycra really minimises women who actually ride and race bikes for a living. Obvs Liz Hurley can present herself in whatever way she wants and more power to her, but I dunno, not sure it sits right with me. Might get flamed for this, I dunno. And yes, inb4, I would say the same thing if it was a dude.

Edit: and when I say 'I might get flamed', I say that because I don't want people to think I'm against women empowering themselves in whichever they want to. I'm absolutely not.

  • The women influencers who post sexualised photos of themselves in ridiculous contortions next to bikes make me angry. I highly doubt they ride much if at all in most cases, they're just looking for attention from pervy cycling men.

All this does is cause the same men to then take their pervy thoughts and opinions and cast these on to women who ride and race and think they can sexualise them too. Gross. Even I have been catcalled whilst cycling, so creepy.

  • Hurm. There's no bike though, I feel like she just happens to be wearing rapha. I'm not sure most people would even see it as bike wear in those photos, just close fitting sport stuff. Is someone with their cleavage out "sexualising" other fabrics/clothing? From a scan of her ig that's pretty much an everyday neckline for Liz. I dunno, not very coherent, but in this case I don't really buy it.

Totally agree on hating the 'contortions with bikes' though, even more so when it's part of marketing. Do you even know how to ride a bike?

Edit: More succinctly, there's no cycling connotation beyond recognising the rapha brand. There aren't even any cycling related tags. I don't think Liz posing on a balcony is the problem.

  • She should check out the sizing chart before ordering. Should’ve gone up at least one size.

  • All this does is cause the same men to then take their pervy thoughts and opinions and cast these on to women who ride and race and think they can sexualise them too.

Hmm so you're saying women are ultimately responsible for sexual harassment?

  • This isn't the hill you want to die on

  • That's one helluva of a leap of logic.
