  • One of my favourite albums ever. Still sounds amazing IMO.

  • They Live is up there

  • Even arguably John Carpenters worst movie “Memoirs of an invisible man” is worth a watch

It’s 30 years old this Monday.

  • Tonight’s viewing

  • I’d forgotten how good that was. Now this. Possibly my single favourite movie.

  • I rewatched this a couple of weeks ago. Still holds up!

  • I just read a post on another thread and now I understand why you’ve been watching so many films recently! Hope you’re healing up.

  • Cheers man. I'm back in one piece and live to fight another day. :)
The film watching has slowed down now though and I'm back working on my bag templates in what little 'spare' time I have left.

  • The French Dispatch.

Enjoyable, but not his best. I'd say 4th after Royal Tenenbaums, Grand Budapest, Fantastic Mr Fox in that order.

Some great performances though and enjoyed the short story aspect. Didn't spot Luke Wilson, though he must be in their somewhere...

  • I'd say it's a toss up between French Dispatch and Isle Of Dogs for his worst. I enjoyed both enough but neither had any emotional impact on me in the same way that his better films do. Agreed that Royal Tenenbaums is his best though! Unbelievably good.

  • @DethBeard and anyone else that likes movie art , 24x36: a movie about movie posters is doing the rounds on Sky Arts and is worth a watch.

Given the awesomeness of the Mad Max 2 poster above it gives an interesting in site into how actors, agents, focus groups and a spoon fed public (temporarily) killed the medium.

  • Good shout, it was watching that that kickstarted my collecting a few years ago.

Watched it and bought a Tyler Stout The Warriors poster before the end credits had finished.
Now have dozens of poster from various artists.
Sadly none have appreciated like the early Stouts, but there is still time!

  • On the topic of fun movie posters. I've been enjoying following the Deadly Prey Gallery Instagram account. It features hand painted movie posters by Ghanian artists. They're all fairly bonkers!

  • Chevy Chase with a snake for a pony tail?

  • I believe it's supposed to be Tom Cruise. Hard to say for sure though.

  • The Batman reviews seem overwhelmingly positive and now I have some sense of hope

  • That sounds great, but really struggling to find it. Does it have another name? I have SkyQ and am looking through On Demand and have tried voice searching, but can’t seem to find it.

  • I've been known to collect a poster or two, so that sounds interesting. Couldn't find it listed for a showing any time soon ;(

  • It's rentable on Prime for 4.49, or 9.99 to buy.

  • Nice one 👍

  • It's a basic production but still a good watch. I've seen a lot of stuff repeated on Sky arts lately so maybe hold off giving £5 to Bezos as it might pop back up

  • It’s also inspired me to source an original New Hope B2 print and get these framed. Sadly ESB is from the 90s reissue but ROJ is OG
