Just like how a 24mm strap makes a big watch look small?

True. Lots of the fake bags cost $2000. https://www.fl8588.com/index.php?route=product/category&path=83_751_939&sort=p.price&order=DESC

Anyone have a g shock gmw b5000d-1 they want to speak about? I am close to buying but worried the bracelet might be junk?

This thread reminded me that I haven't worn my Vostok for many years now... the bracelet is a bit crap, maybe I should replace it.

Several of us have one I think. I really like mine - I was lukewarm on it to begin with but totally came round to it.
The bracelet is fine. It’s an unusual construction - basically every removable link is joined with a spring bar. Works well. Doesn’t feel any worse or cheaper than a comparably priced Seiko.

Heh. Yeah, obvs it’s not a Rolex bracelet but it suits the watch well and doesn’t let it down at all.

I've got the gold one. The bracelet is outstanding. Proper engineering, in a different class to the plastic G-Shocks. (I'm going to sell it when I can get round to doing photos.)

You be surprised! The 45mm Helson dwarfed the strap.

Thanks all , resounding endorsements. I might try and brush the polished bits, anyone had a go? I saw a guy on another forum got his bead blasted but that’s a bit ambitious for me I reckon.

Just seen the prices for GMT masters on Chrono24- are people paying that?
-
• #61474
Dunno but if they are they're fucking stupid.

If you're going Quartz, I get a lot of mileage out of a Seiko 7A28-701A (~£300).
However, you would need to put a calendar up on your wall.
I really need to find mine, they’re so comfortable and small.
