I'm just yanking on your dandy dungaree strap ;)
-
• #404
Seems my dungys aren't all that dandy: never heard back from Kboy :(

I’d take the bibs and the body warmer. I’d take the trousers too but I’m already overstocked with those!
Do the bibs fit the same as the 34x31 scruffs trousers? Worried medium would be too small otherwise.

Shit! Sorry that completely dropped of my radar :(
Really sorry for not getting in touch. Not an excuse but had a rough couple of weeks / months of some private bad news coupled with a few rounds of cv19 in the family.

Goes without saying. I just need a dandy lanyard to keep my CSCS card in full view.

Somewhat looser.
If you'd like the warmer, I might as well chuck them in and you can pass them on if you're too hench for them.
Send me your deets: I'm going to the PO at some point this week with other forum treats.

Sorry to read that and don't worry about it: I saw you posting elsewhere and guessed it had slipped your mind.

Any recommendations for a long sleeved top to stop my arms getting scratched? Preferably not too heavy and at the workwear end of the budget rather than the dandy end.

wrong thread!

leather gauntlets? there are also thorn proof sleeves gardeners sometimes wear
but if you want proper thornproof Filson tin cloth is used by ranchers for going through brambles and also putting out barbed wire fencing
-
• #413
Cheers, Filson looks pretty out of budget (and overkill) but searching thorn proof sleeves I ended up here which looks like there should be something that does the job.

Great, I thought it might be useful to show an alternative option and suggest the ludicrous dandy alternative.

thorn proof sleeves
Wish I'd known this a few years ago when we bought our house. We a LOT of hedges and the previous owner had let them grow for 4-5 years. Took me about 5 working days to sort out and my arms looked like I had wrestled a rabid cat.

Soaked today so dried my bag in the digs.
Amount of unnecessary I've been carrying: on the right is "nice to have" (mostly); on the left is "needed".

What’s your trade, scaffolder, steel worker? Sexy Hilti bopper too 👀

Erector, but I just made Crane Supervisor: tools = zero 👌
Brand new this job, crisp AF. Usual space laser/water pistols crushed by the Big Red H 🔧
-
• #419
You have more chance of supervising a crane than getting the average labourer to pay attention, you'll probably get more sense out of it as well.
-
• #420
Corvids would have the most sense, and subsequently be most resistant to supervision. Pheasants are too stupid to take direction, so I’d agree, cranes would be a good compromise and would likely accede to your persuasion.
-
• #421
It's best not to distract labour from important considerations, such as whether to have crisps or sandwich first.
-
• #422
Sounds like a step in the right direction. Looks like hard graft being in the sharp end of erection (oo-er).

Now I'm a member of the supervising classes, laces can get to fuck.
And I'd wear them out= dandy?

R.e Kulh;
They are. Great kit. GoOutdoors is a stockist. I have three pairs of trousers and one mid season jacket. They WILL NOT DIE. (And fade great).
And this just in from our boot correspondent: "Magnum Boots disappoint, despite initial promise!".
Being as they actually manufacture them, rather than rebranding Wolverine tat, I had high hopes. Alas the soles of the summer pair needed re-gluing and the stitching of the winter pair has gone in several places, identically on each boot.
Just ordered some calf-length Amblers for £40-odd which seem suspiciously well regarded...
