That's for a canti brake, not a V-brake like you have. It looks like you're running it 1x, why not use the cable stop on the left side of the top tube?

I bought this Courier Comp frame yesterday and have installed parts from an Avanti I had stripped. It has a built in noodle/macaroni tube for the brake cable but I don't know what I need to at my back end... The brake cable work but is inelegant. What do I need to do back there? Also what rough year is this? Thank you.
