I've had Filson trousers wear through in the crotch in under a year. At that price I'd hope for better. Old Town/Tin House trousers (which aren't really work wear per se but modelled on old fashioned working men's clothes) do far more robust canvas trousers and at a lower price point, although you do have to wait 6 weeks or so for them to get around to your order...
