Blue sid, very on trend..
I like how the blue pops against the grey.

Well new owner hates it a little bit so it is likely that they will be rattle canned black or olive drab
-
• #5429
Olive drab could work!!

could maybe take some colour inspiration from mr_b's ritchey?
https://www.lfgss.com/comments/16330879/paint the lowers but keep the crown blue? and maybe a pop of colour elsewhere to balance it out?

SID or otherwise, blue or orange forks look crap. Paint em.

I don't think my friend is into that but thanks for the suggestion.

I haven't be able to find much time for tinkering lately. But I've ordered the final bits for my all road. I ordered Stronglight CT2 48/36 chainrings. Which are a bit more expensive than my preferred chainrings purchases. But whatever. These will be paired with a 105 11-32t and KMC X11 chain.
Hopefully it fits 622 x 40c Pirelli Cinturato Gravel H Classic.I am swapping out the Woddman seatpost for a silver Thomson Elite that just arrived. My fat ass doesn't trust the Woodman to hold up.
I am excited!

I wish I was out riding it now.

Yes for sure. It is extremely nice and light but I am just to heavy I am afraid. Shoot me a pm and we can discuss price and shipping

Shame, that seatpost is the pièce de résistance

This is, as usual, really nice ! I hope too the pirelli gravel will fit, this will be bestial !
Your painted stem is really nice, could you remind me what it is under the paint ?
-
• #5445
Shameful to say it's is just a FSA stem i had kicking about. Was supposed to be a steel stem but I had no time to make one. And thanks

40c didn't fit some I've got some 35c on order.
Also waiting for more coaxial cable and a ring terminal thingy before I can do the dynamo internal wiring.
But it's getting closer. A days work layer this week should finish it off

Jackpot! Daughter has a runny nose and can't go to daycare, so is going straight to her grandmother's for a little vacay and wife is taking the opportunity to work late and stay at our summerhouse. This means I get every single evening in the workshop this week! Plan is to finish balance bike, finish all road, build forks for my mate and maybe get started on my new MTB (wishful thinking). Watch this space

I had a great afternoon in the workshop yesterday with @JesperXT.
We got some frames ready for paint and tinkered a bit with some of my projects. Amongst those this GT Avalanche I've been gather parts for for my other buddy. Jesper reamed and faced the frame and now I just need to put on the rest of the parts and some decals.
I think it is looking alright already. Although the forks do look a bit scratched and out of place.
I've mentioned it before but I think it's a neat little trick: the frame is designed for Integrated headset bearings, but reaming it and using EC44mm headset improves geometry and allows us to use more modern sus forks with a tapered steerer.
