There’s a good crowdfunder going on at the moment. Set up by the Ecotricity man. He wants to do more investigation into hunt Kennels. As seen from footage below (graphic) when hunt dogs and other animals are not deemed worthy they are shot and sold to the power station which powers our homes. News broke a few days ago on ITV news.

Anyone got some recommendations for good vegan/veggie places in Paris?
-
• #9329
I haven't been to Paris for a while, but this place was amazing last time I went: https://www.vgpatisserie.fr/ Holybelly is great too, pretty sure I substituted some bits on a breakfast to make it vegan. https://holybellycafe.com/

Haven't been to Paris for years.
Last week's Guardian had this article:

Thanks, good suggestions. I'll definitely check out the patisserie. I already had Hollybelly on my list. I believe a forum-er used to work there back in the day

Yeah, bakenger (not sure if that's her forum name?) used to work there. Always had great food and coffee there.

Anyone want to take over Zads?

Recommendations for a nice vegan restaurant in SE London? Doesn't have to be vegan only but something that'll have a range of options. Preferably somewhere nice where we can take our time in with a good drinks menu. Bonus points for somewhere with a decent pub nearby and easy to get to from Sydenham.
Alternatively anyone tried Mallow in Borough Market?

Naifs or Omni in Peckham

Went to Omni recently and was a little underwhelmed (for the cost). I like Peachy Goat in Herne Hill. Menu is more basic but it's nice.

Really enjoyed this place

I can't see the info on the F******* link, but they've only been going since 2017 and are looking to sell? I hope that doesn't spell doom.

Their ZFC is amazing, hope it keeps going.

Unfortunately, with a young family and a more than full time job, I just don’t have the time which Zad’s needs to flourish.
Not sure why they can't hire a business manager, but that's all the info they've given [and was the same reason when they first announce their intent to sell it on instagram a few months back].
I'll be very sad to see it go; we get it whenever we visit friends in Manc and it is absolutely top drawer.

I stopped buying Zads when they swapped the hot sauce for sweet mango chutney on their Firey Zadras. Now I feel bad.

Cheers, that sounds to me as if s/he has to be lucky to find someone able to run it as it has been.

I saw that the other day, can't imagine wanting more than a slice but I really want a slice.

I had the same experience with Omni. It was nice enough but nothing special and cost an absolute fortune!
What sort of thing are you after @jono84? If you're after something more casual, I had a good vegan chicken burger thing at Walker Briggs in Crystal Palace recently. It's a pub rather than a restaurant but has a fully vegan menu and a decent drinks selection.
Another casual option is Yard Sale Pizza in Crystal Palace. Not much room to sit in but you can get it delivered to the bottle shop over the road (or Craft Metropolis in Penge).
Coopers (also in Crystal Palace) is pretty nice as well, maybe a bit more upmarket feeling with a better wine/cocktail menu and pretty good vegan/non vegan food menu. -

Obviously this is deeply saddening from an ecological viewpoint, but the cognitive dissonance these people show is just maddening. "My heart is broken at the scenes of devastation" says man who overfishes

Cheers all, managed to book a table at Mallow which looks sufficiently fancy pants

A broad request - where's good, cheap, quick and easy to get dinner anywhere between Peckham and Finsbury Park.
