The startup on Netflix doesn't seem to be talked about much at all. My brother in law mentioned it and I hadn't heard of it and I don't think I know anyone else who's seen it.
I wouldn't say it's amazing TV, some of it isn't very believable, but it's certainly entertaining.
About to finish the first series and there's 2 more.
I find TV shows where the story can be chalked up to "that was lucky" or very convenient things happen a bit irritating. Not that I only enjoy 100% realism, but if your whole plot is based on convenient event after lucky escape after convenient event then I think it starts to get a bit OTT. I wouldn't say The Startup is completely like that, just a couple more plotlines that are solved using fortuitous events than I'd want for it to be classed as excellently written.
