Well that's going to be a fun 2022 by the sounds of it.
Say bye to goods from small mainland EU suppliers.
Looks like NI isn't affected I should set up a smuggling ring or import then forward to GB center :p

France upsetting twitter users for asserting it's sovereignty

I think there is enough smuggling here but another shouldn’t make much difference 😁
Hope you had a good Christmas! -

Pssst....do you want some good English Stilton/French Brie/Campag vintage parts..? I know somebody... :p
I did, very quiet again, as family couldn't come here (hai Omicron...)
All the freerange turkeys at Tesco came from down south, spuds/carrots/parsnips were local.
How was yours? :)

Christmas wasn’t great. Had my Christmas dinner yesterday. Work prevails as ever.
Everyone should be lying low but I’m not seeing it here at all. -

Aw.. not cool :(
Is your workplace unionized at all? You always seem to do mad hours.

It’s just the situation at the moment - staff shortage. Only 168 hours overtime this month!

This is why we can't have nice things.
Goodbye cheese. I'll always love you.

TL:DR people being refused EUSS over convictions/cautions that are out of date/wrong...and its taking months and months to get this sorted, in the meantime no working rights/no benefits.
Great job, again, government.

Fuck you Ireland, they could they not even be arsed to find any food from the north that they are so keen to protect

Ms Truss has invited Mr Šefčovič to Chevening House in Kent, which is traditionally used by foreign secretaries.
According to a UK statement, the pair will discuss the Northern Ireland Protocol over Scottish salmon, Welsh lamb and Kent apple pie.

We don't have to import Comber Potatoes I guess this is all about the GB to NI import woes?

Brexit: Loss of EU funding 'could seriously affect NI economy'
Of course Westminster has not replaced all funding as promised but we get less.
Same for Wales, Scotland, England of course...

That moment when you see s big ad for a garden plants company in a local NI newspaper...
...to find out they don't deliver to Northern Ireland. Whomever sold them the ad space is a very good sales person 😂

Foreign Office complaining the NI protocol is bad for NI peace (well, Brexit increased the bickering but it's also supported as a least worse option)
From the government that refuses to sign up to all improvements the EU offers. Amazing.

Fintan in fine form here.. I find it amusing that an Irishman is so emotionally scarred by the actions of his former colonial overlords whose embassy he enjoyed watching burn down... Raphael's heart attack and vine piece is the exemplar of post Brexit op eds but I feel Fintan has it in him to push the envelope further...

As Brexit continues to eats its children, we now cannot pass a healthcare budget which we really need.
Stormont had a pr system so luckily I don't need to vote SF (not a fan either for many reasons) to get rid of the dup.

Fintan is in Dublin... You're in the North aren't you?
I’ve been reading the Malcolm McLaren biography on and off since summer. Did a couple of chapters this afternoon and came across this, suddenly everything made sense. Ever get the feeling you’ve been cheated…
