Bought one the gopro-alikes from Costco, post 1092 above.
Charged it up, read through the instructions twice.
N0 data cable, it is wifi download only.
And, the suggested app, 'XDV' has been superceded by the 'XDV Pro' app
both available on the Play Store.
Will be trying the camera out over the weekend.
