  • Not in the spirit of the thread, but I'm looking for a bin. Something small, about 30l, animal proof, with wheels and an extendable handle that I can trundle our green waste down to the allotment once a week. Been using a 25l plastic tub but it's pretty heavy when full of wet food scraps. Best plan so far is to try and get another of these sanitary waste bins and strap it to a sack barrow, but our council say you can only get one and they won't replace if you lose it.

Anyone seen anything suitable? My Google-fu is failing me.

  • I did extensive searching online and never really found what I was looking for. Ended up buying something that was waaaaay to big, and now is used for tetrapak recycling. Next one I got was, pretty flimsy, but just about functional. Neither had wheels though.
Fancy starting a business? Got any contacts in China?

  • Seems like a niche market. I discovered the council do larger kerbside caddy's, about 30l, for their trade waste service. Going to try and get one of them next time I'm at the tip, should work decently strapped to a sack barrow.
