Could it take a tiny bit of colour somewhere?
Otherwise perfect for me. Great bar shape, slammed stem regardless of fit, funky post. Tick.
Whatβs the frame? -

Heh. Not sure which u mean but should be lots over the years... π

The TCR, I have the same one (2011ish?)
-
• #10330
Aye. Is the composite...
The advanced had the annoying integrated seat tube.

Yeah I'm still not a fan of ISP.
I want some nice wheels to replace the shallow Ultegras on mine. What's fitted in your photo?

It's a Walty apparently

Looks like Deda Newton shallow to me -

They are cheap Chinese (ican?) 40mm carbon clinchers.
Been solid over the last couple years.
Can see why Mavic went bust.

It's really good. I'd lose the Thomson bits and it makes me glad I went for the oval chainstays on mine. They like to use the skinny round ones but I'm not a fan

This is a beaut but the derailleur cable looks like the owner is trying to snare rabbits

Is this for reasons of aesthetic or function? I'm considering a walty frame but the choices and options when it comes to tubing is pretty overwhelming!
-
• #10337
Both. I wanted it stiff as hell from the bottom bracket to axle but also I prefer the look of wide chainstays.
There are a lot of options. I knew what I wanted but I would guess that you could go to them with a geometry, explain your weight and goals for riding it and let them choose tube options.

You just need to think about all the extras you want on the frame and specify where to put them. Just saying mudguard mounts isn't enough as they'll just put them on somewhere that might not be convenient. It took me about a week of going back and forth to get my mudguard mount where I wanted it on the seat stay bridge

Apparently there's a global shortage of headsets for 1 1/4" headsets by the looks of things so may be a while yet
-
• #10341
Nice, here's mine. Wants new wheels. And a chain & cassette I suppose.

Radness project.
Looked after yours a bit better heh! π

makes me want another tcr
-
• #10344
Yeah I quite like it. I was tempted to sell recently but this one has been with me for so long I can't let it go. Out of interest, what kind of price would someone put on it assuming it had a new chain and cassette?
There are chips to the paint in places as you'd expect on a bike of this age but it's all sound as far as the carbon goes

That is so painfully obvious that it makes you wonder who would bother to research it.
It might be worth researching the best saddle angle for all-round riding, assuming the saddle is set at the correct height, which it almost never is (esp in the nose-down crew).

Bit like 4 spoke cranks non?

Groundbreaking discoveries.
π I love those old cosmics. Not the stiffest, but smooth like butter. And look fabulous on those 90s steel frames
