I don't think it's a team, I think it's a factory special.

Mrs Jangle, innit.

So good! What are you thinking build wise?

• #129434
Gonna try and build it mainly with parts I already own.
Had a dig through the shed earlier - looks like it will be mainly Chorus 10 speed.
Also looks like I might have some NOS Delta brake callipers, which would look good on this.
Somewhere I am sure I have some NOS Shamal Rims which would also look great on this, but would probably require getting some hubs drilled to order, so a fair bit of faff.
I will probably give this one it's own build thread. Made a half arsed start at a build today, but encountered some headset 'issues' so it will have to wait.

Finally got the other half Chinese titanium Brompton. Impressively 7.95kg (but with no mudguards)
Won’t say the fit and finishes was 100% percent when it came out of the box. And the third party parts will need some tweaking especially around the hinges where it seems a little stiff but I hope it will become looser soon.
Parts include al lot of H&H, Ace, suncord and MKS, it is also 5 speed too :/ this will need to be refine too. But luckily no custom charge, which after 2 months of waiting isn’t too bad.
Frame and forks looks amazing as well as the stem. Quality I feel is up there with Brompton.
The only bad things is the brakes does feel a little non responsive but this might be the cables or pads.
Girlfriend seems to be happy with her gift which is all that matters I guess.

Damn, nice!
As @damskodonny says it looks spotless, like it left the factory yesterday, and I too thought it was Gan colours.
10 speed Chorus sounds great, intrigued by the Delta's and Shamal rebuild options too, I've never come across any rims just on their own, did they ever sell them separately or were they stripped off a set? Clinchers or tubs? either way hens teeth and expensive I imagine, especially if clinchers. Have you got the 12h or 16h rims?
I was out on my Team Panasonic with 10 speed silver Chorus this morning, now rocking a white Flite and Veloflex tyres. Silver groups just look better in the sunshine :)

Your Merckx looks great.
As far as the Shamal rims are concerned, I've had them for ages.
Some time ago, you could get lucky, and find quality parts for not much money. When that happened I would snap them up and hoard them.
I can't remember where the rims came from (or, at the moment, where they are), but I'm pretty sure they are 12 hole. Bit like the Delta's, really impractical, but great to look at.

Wondering if the contact area is enough. Each clamp surface (silver coloured faces) is about 4mm across.

You could try swapping it out for the lower clamp from a different seatpost

Nice to meet you - I'm looking forward to seeing what comes of this!

My nds crank arm started to get loose like a week ago out of nowhere and I have to retighten the screw basically every second day since then. I've been running the crank bb combination for 5 years now and never had any issues.
Is there anything I can do or is it time for a new crank?

Are you tightening it with an Allen key?
-
• #129448
are the threads of the bolt/ in the taper still okay? maybe a new crank bolt will do.
-
• #129449
New crank time, make sure to regrease the interface between crank and spindle every 6 months or so.
-
• #129450
Yeah, of course. By now to a point that I can’t tighten it any further with the leverage I have using a mini tool
@HK_Berlin I did not really check but the screw screws in smooth so I‘d say the threads are alright. But I’ll check it out!
@Heldring isn’t that the one thing you shouldn’t grease?
That looks like loads of fun.
