Quite different from the story IIRC. Murakami is much less ambiguous, though never actually explicit. Weird actually, the more I think about it. In the story there’s talk of burning barns, which turns out to be a metaphor. In the film they're actually burnt. I should watch Burning again. Compare and contrast.
Am I right in thinking this is based on a Haruki Murakami short story? Added to my watchlist, sounds good either way!
