Yeah, this is the crazy price bumping that they've been pursuing the past 3-5 years.
So the 300m Marinemaster was a £1500 watch with an 8L35 not that long ago. That movement (great movement by the way) is now in the SLAs, higher end Willards, etc, which are £3-4k+. At that time the 6R movements really topped out at around £800 in the top end of the Prospex line. So both of those upper figures have basically doubled.
Movements aren't everything of course, but the 6R series is not something that has ever felt to me like it belongs in a £1500 watch. Especially because they still aren't adjusting them at the factory. This is NOMOS money.
The case on the KSK looks a lot better than the cocktail watches though, FWIW.
New 6R-based King Seikos look alright, 37mm, five different colours, a case with actual sharp edges, bit thick compared to the really nice reissue they did last year (?) though.
