  • calling James o Brien a posh public schoolboy when she has sent her kids to the same school

I believe the exact words used were "public school, posh boy fuckwit"

  • To be fair, she is quite the authority on fuckwittery

  • it's embarrassing that senior conservatives are embarrassing themselves in defence of boris

It's even more embarrassing that Shapps and Dorries are senior members of the government.

  • Other highlights include calling James o Brien a posh public schoolboy

Hasn't she used parliamentary privilege to slander James O'Brien too

  • It's even more embarrassing that Shapps and Dorries are senior members of the government.

Given it was always claimed that Johnson picked the Cabinet based on loyalty over competence, he appears to of been a great judge of character on this issue. Robert Buckland must be very happy to of been sacked.

  • Aaaaaaand now Cresida Dick says the Met will investigate. They have a fantastic track record in whitewashing the wrongdoings of their mates.

Is this a ploy from a Johnson ally (Patel/Home Office)? Does this kick the conclusion down the road yet further? Can Sue Gray's report be 'paused' by the government, so as not to prejudice a police investigation? (genuine questions, as I have no idea)

  • So that presumably means we will have to put the popcorn on hold as we aren't going to see the Gray report until the Met do their whitewash.
    What a shambles.

  • Will he be the first sitting PM interviewed under caution? That would be a lovely record for him to have.

  • I assume it means the Government are confident it will all be found to be not in the spirit of the rules but not illegal

  • Cresida's retirement into the HoL is secure.

  • BREAKING: Sue Gray will not publish her partygate report while the Met police investigate. So it will not be published this week and probably not for many weeks.
This is some kind of reprieve for the prime minister.
She will continue her investigation though.

  • Then some minor civil servant will get the hoof

  • Also allows Tories to say they can't comment due to Met investigation.

  • Thus saving embarrassment for future leadership candidates

  • Does it limit what the opposition can say as well as they’d be seen as prejudicing the investigation?

  • Edit - duplicated 99Wombats point above

  • Some Civil Servant or Met Police officer will get found guilty and given a £60 fine or let off, won't be enough evidence to link Johnson to anything to get a prosecution. Sue Gray's report will get filed on a dusty shelf and never see the light of day as The Met have already looked in to this. We will have to listen to Dorris and Raab tell us how Johnson was cleared of all wrong doing and Labour and the media generated a witch hunt and waste of public resources when the Government wanted to be focussing on levelling up and being world leading

We will come on here and get angry and shake our fists at the sky

  • The findings could be interesting.

  • Where did the 4th come from, I only ever got three ello’s

  • Be interesting if others follow, can't see them choosing Young over Rogan but can see removing Young engaging other singers to engage in the discussion

Neil Young has demanded that his music be removed from Spotify due to vaccine misinformation spread by podcaster Joe Rogan on the streaming service, saying: “They can have Rogan or Young. Not both.”

  • I could definitely use four Es if they aren’t going to

  • Naughty, naughty, very naughty…

(the exact same thing crossed my mind also)

  • We will have to listen to Dorris and Raab tell us how Johnson was cleared of all wrong doing and Labour and the media generated a witch hunt.

Giving their track record, I reckon you’re on the money.

  • "PM tells MPs police inquiry into partygate will give public 'clarity it needs' and 'draw line' under affair"

It's almost like he knows the conclusion before it's even happened.
