Plastic hand grenade in an enclosed space!

The hose on mine failed before the bottle. I did have a tyre pop off the rim at 80psi that was loud!

Noticed my Brand X dropper post had started giving me about 15mm of suspension travel today. I don't remember it doing this before, is this an over the air upgrade or does it need a service?

Huck Norris. Real basic but one puncture (knife like rock in the front) in around 5 years over two mtbs.
All tyres, mtb, gravel, fat road and road all seated with normal track pump. Never been unlucky in that respect.

That looks worth the wait :-)

I was grinning from start to finish. Well, maybe not at the top of the biggest climbs, I’m still carrying a lot of Christmas turkey. First time riding a full sus, first time riding a 29er. Turns out both of these things are pretty ok.
Need to move the levers for gears and dropper because whoever set this up apparently has massive ET fingers, but otherwise it’s pretty spot on.

A dispatch from the world of elderly second hand Rockshox dual air forks.. Good and bad..

Are you servicing them? I've got a similar age (I guess) pair of Rebas to take apart and clean up, with new wipers and seals etc. to go back in afterwards.

The top Reba looks good. Just waiting for the alcohol to evaporate off the foam seals before I reassemble this week.
The bottom SiDs are stuck in a box until I find the motivation to buy a seal kit and the huge Allen key to open up the upper assembly. I have a rigid fork for the inbred so thinking of sticking a fat 29er on the front for next winter, single speed.

The answer to this is a 2 year CRC warranty and a free replacement it turns out.

Love that! I've been dreaming about getting a rocketmax for a while now...

A couple of items of note about the Flaremax, or possibly unwanted advice -
It mullets just fine, and that's how I run mine.
The rear if it's 120mm when you have the shock serviced they can take it to 132mm (can't say that I've noticed the extra 12mm of travel mind).
Every other time you wash it spray the bearings with GT85 Or something similar otherwise I'll become a creak machine.
Thread lock that chain guide on, they're annoying to replace, and the chain will come off without it. -
• #23147
Went for the Jeht in the end, so I’ve got 140 at the back already, but all those other bits of advice are far from unwelcome. Locktite and gt85 it is, cheers!

Thread lock that chain guide on
See also; main pivot nut. If Cotic says to loctite it, don't not loctite it.

Which generation have you got? My G3 is 125mm and I'm wondering if shock mount positions got moved at some point between generations. I'd love to add 7mm of travel for nothing, if it was possible.

Offset bushings would probably give you that I would have thought.
These things make me nervous under pressure. Wrapped my one in a bunch of tape
