Same here on my gravel bike, Bfe Max and Capra have only ever used my track pump with the valve core removed to seat tyres/set up tubeless.
As for inserts, I bought a pair of Rimpact Pro in mullet configuration as I only use them in the rear on the Cotic (29er) and YT (27.5)
