  • People with the Pixel 6 - how are you getting on with it? At least according to the media there seem to have been a lot of issues, particularly with the fingerprint sensor which might be more than software?

The battery is really dying in my 2 XL and I could have it replaced but it's feeling pretty old now.

I don't really want to spend as much as the 6 but I want a new Pixel and pretty much everything else is out of stock - and prices are mad for older/used Pixel phones. Covid chip crisis I guess.

I figured the 4a 5G would probably be the best option for me and have found one from a reputable seller for RRP (£499), but while it's got a rear fingerprint sensor (which I'd much prefer) Google have stopped making it and it's only guaranteed to get updates until November '23.

  • I love mine.

However the Pixel 5 was a better size, the 6 feels a fraction too large.

My only complaint is mild... the fingerprint reader isn't instant and quick, but the one on the back of the Pixel 5 was.

However the upside... everything else is phenomenal. The camera, the phone itself, the AI stuff (the difference with their chip is noticeable).

So it is worth it. Do it.
