Proper jeans, but 2nd hand. I'd check ebay, I've picked up several pairs of hardly worn Edwin, Albam, etc for £25-35

Yes I did wonder if it was a shithouse move but it was my first offer so I thought I'd jus t see...they didn't even counter-offer.
