  • Out of every watch I’ve ever owned, my favourite;

  • Didn’t know there’s a LHT version of the ranger!

  • There isn’t, but the ETA movement has symmetrical dial tabs, so easy to spin and reset the hands. I need to do my Steinhardt too - I like to wear watches quite loose and hate having winder bruises on the back of my hand.

  • Anyone on here interested in a Barton Elite Silicone strap (Black, 20mm) - brand new, packaging opened, but unused. £16 posted

  • Happy New Watch Year!

  • January sale prices as I need to replace a stolen bike.

Seiko SPB083 aka SBDC065. Now £500. These are £1060 RRP. Keeps COSC time. Boxed, with spare links, and the rubber strap is unused.

Then this SRPE55 on an Uncle Seiko jubilee that cost £57.50 (worn twice). Original oyster bracelet and all spare links also included. Boxed. £170. Combined RRPs = £287.50.

  • Very nice. How's the build quality?

  • stolen bike.

    Bummer!

  • I’d hardly ridden it as well. 😩

  • Rough. I’d have the prospec in a heartbeat, but a lean patch here at the moment. Good luck in raising funds, and I hope the thieves rot.

  • I’d hardly ridden it as well. 😩

    What happened? Sorry man.

  • Thanks mate. It happened a few months back:

I bought it about a year ago and long covid meant it just sat in the bike storage unridden practically all year. However this week I went for a (very short) ride and while I'm still feeling tired from it two days later, it didn’t totally exhaust me so I’m hoping I can gradually work cycling into my recovery. Bored of walks 😂

  • Surprisingly good. Clean sharp case, lovely mother of pearl dial and a decent lume (although not on the bezel). Not a fan of the bracelet, so changed it to a silicon strap, but it's good quality with solid end links. Weight and size suit me perfectly.

  • Sad... Makes me stressed when I lock mine up in a similar arrangement. Totally understand you getting bored of walking (we are a forum of cyclists 😂) . Hope all goes well with the sales

  • What's ppls thoughts on Fredrick Constant? I mean, I know it's not going to rock most 'fine diners' , but what's the quality like?

They've been intriguing me for a few months.

    The slimline monolithic looks good.

If you were buying a watch for a father or uncle than doesn't know watches but would appreciate a good watch and appreciates your knowledge...

I think it looks good... From the Internetz

(actually... At 4k I should consider getting this for myself 😂😂😂😂)

  • I’ve never seen one IRL. But that model specifically is really interesting and looks like value - the monolithic oscillator is fascinating, and I really like unusual movement tech / escapement designs.

Also the dial seems like it might be actual guilloché, not stamped, which is quite rare at the price. Not 100% sure though, it looks a bit too soft in pics.

  • Fu*k the thieves @Regal hope you get it back…

  • I’m not a Rolex person, it seems. And also I’ve bought another watch.

Anyone interested in this peach or a watch? It’s almost a full set from 1978, with hang tags and everything.

  • I (generally) don't like Rolexes, but that has something about it.

Shame I have zero watch budget for 2022.

  • It certainly does…

  • beautiful. timeless design

  • Just a quick update on my Seiko Kinetic Diver that's doing a 2 second sweep (low battery/capacitor). x3 Seiko dealers have declined to repair it and all have told me to send it off to Seiko UK. I finally got a response from their Service Centre today as I assume they've been closed over Christmas.

"Thank you for your email, we can service your watch for a cost of £110.00 , please return it to our service centre address below with a covering note and your details, our turnaround once here is 6-8 weeks."
