New Years Day FB 'oops' - a '97 DK General Lee + pedals (for an insanely good price). It'll look sic on the black tuff 2's I've had knocking about for ages :D I guess I'll be needing some bars, stem, and cranks now :D

a silver eight pack was my first proper bike so much love for that. A bit too modern for Tuffs though - this looks about right

I had a baby blue six pack, was also my first decent bmx. Had a mongoose before that but had 1pc cranks etc.
Local bmx/skateshop use to have a general lee frame hanging on the wall for years when I was a kid. Always use to stare at it.

has anyone got any 20x2.1 'trails' type tyres they'd be willing to sell?

Pop this here in case anyone is interested. Best

Long shot but does anyone have a single bolt fitting BMX brake caliper lying around? It's only for a beater bike we found at work so condition isn't important. Thanks.

Just realised I hadn’t posted my bike in here since putting it back together.
I took the brake posts off and tried out a Squid inspired paintjob.
Haven’t had much opportunity to ride it yet sadly.

Rad. What’s that a 46T sprocket? Love it

That ones actually not super huge, think it might even just be a 40t. I was rubbing a 45t at one point though. Barely cleared the chainstay.

A little help needed in buying a bmx for an 8 year old. There seems to be tons on fb, ebay for cheap, anything in particular I should be looking for? It's a birthday present so something that will last her would be nice.

I've just got myself a 95/96 dirtbike (with Holmes decals LOL). Not sure what the long term plans are yet - but probably removing the decals and switching out the cranks/chainring/saddle for starters :D
Also means I'm gonna have to sell the old Vegas as I don't have room! The Vegas is all original and in great shape £120 and it's yours!! :D

Nice upgrade.

I built a wheel the other day. Using the George French how to. It took on tension weirdly quickly and the spokes looked a bit funny at the nipples.
Turns out gsport rims are cross drilled or something. In other words the DS spokes go to the holes on the NDS and vice versa.
Right pain in the ass, had to undo the whole thing and start again. Four cross laced under the third is a bit fiddly.

What size wheels will you go for? Grown adults ride 20” so something smaller?
-
• #946
Was thinking 20 inch. Kid is a bit of a giant for her age, been meaning to swing past half pipe and ask in there for starters.
-
• #947
Yeah ok. I don’t really know about kids tbh haha. Happy to look at any ads you’re considering otherwise not sure I can help.
And make sure she gets at least two pegs and no brakes 😎

Definitely cross drilled?
I know it is a thing but I've also had bmx rims where the nipples just want to sit really perpendicular to the rim so you get that strange bend in the spoke that canny be good for anything.

Halfpipe really sound. They have a stolen casino with a 20.25TT for £360 thinking of going with that.

Looks good, stolen are decent. I’m 5’9” and was riding a 20.5 for a while though. Admittedly that was too small. But I do wonder if that’ll be just way too big for her to enjoy just yet? Maybe playing the long game is good though. tough call.
Some more of mine. The Chrome burner - that I (stupidly) sold to a mate about 15yrs ago. My Mirra 540 - which I still have - although it's now under a ton of junk at my parents house!
