I was looking at that site yesterday and trying to figure it out after I’d seen this:
https://uncrate.com/lego-jaws-building-set/
So after they get 10k upboats they could get made into a set that is retail packaged?
Is there any other tiers? Just a list of the parts that you can insta-add to a basket and a bunch of photos maybe. I guess it’s not the same experience and there’s all the quality control to worry about.
I really like this: https://ideas.lego.com/projects/e93ad7aa-1a28-4a5d-9974-afca23ff7294
Enjoyed building Hogwarts Express with my four year old. Think I’ll (finally) order the Defender for myself today.

The Lego Ideas portal is a win win for Lego imo. It is crowd sourced so once a product reaches 10,000 votes the designers are already on easy street imo.
It is the 'fringe' kits that maybe might appeal to some that won't get to production.
