it should still work but the rebate will max out at USD 12.99, so won't cover the full value of family account.

@frankenbike - spoke too soon, I used your referral code once in the app and it worked, so you should have seen an alert come through hopefully!
I'll be cheeky and add my referral code: exgpjearyg
@ChainBreaker - open the app, on the home page hit the cog on top left and then you should have an option to enter referral code :)

This is quite an in-depth guide on the Crypto card if anyone is interested.
Obviously use referral codes of your LFGSS bros though. Not the ones in the article.

That is interesting.
Is the CRO the same thing that @Stonehedge worked on a few years back?

Now that Xmas is over and I need to buy my own toys, Whats peoples thoughts on cold wallets? Not if they are worth it, more which ones are best? Any thoughts on the pros and cons?
Is having a Bluetooth functionality good? Battery powered? Thumbdrive USB plug in version good?
I guess if you're safely storing it off site in a secure location (in a box buried at the bottom of the garden) will influence what you buy...
I'm not finding the comparison sites very helpful unfortunately.... Like this one.
Is buying one from amazon safe?

I personally got a Trezor Model T, no complains so far. Setup was straight forward and no problems moving my funds to it. One thing to consider is what coins you are looking to store as I think different wallets support a different range of coins. If you hold a lot of alt coins then best to check what you can store them, but if you are just talking bitcoin and ether then most will be all good.
I actually bought mine from Amazon but if I recall it was sold via trezor themselves so went with that. I know people say only to buy from the company themselves so best to double check first. When I received it, I made sure all of the security seals on the packaging and device where there.

Two options are basically Trezor or Ledger no? Ledger have had multiple customer data leaks.
Advice is always buy direct as there have been instances of 3rd part sellers on Amazon or other sites selling devices with malware on. -

Worth also noting that putting all your crypto on a single hardware wallet is still a single point of failure. I just don't use them because they overcomplicate things.
Metamask for ERC20/BEP20 and Bitcoin Classic for BTC with sensible precautions for encryption and pass phrases. I appreciate that not everybody has the appetite to have a 300GB blockchain stored locally :D

I'd even argue that for many people just leaving it on an exchange now days isn't terrible with a lot of caveats around which exchange, how much, where you're based etc. etc.
-

I don't know the details but I know of someone who's Metamask got hacked and they lost about $5000 in eth recently.
classic, also missed out. oh well...
