  • Sorry to hear. RIP Bella.

  • Aww Bella, sorry to hear this šŸ˜”

  • She looks just the sweetest. So sorry for your loss

  • Aww, bless. Sweet dreams Bella xx

  • We are celebrating her life this evening - five of us sending each other hundreds of photos and videos of her on the family WhatsApp. Some crackers there.

  • Higgs is peeing on the doormat- the new, replacement doormat for the one she peed on before. How do I suggest to her that I would like her not to pee on the doormat?

  • Litter tray as close as possible to the doorway and always kept immaculately clean?

  • Freddie took to peeing on the doormat. we tried various things, none of which worked apart from having no doormat.

Fred's gone to another place now, and thankfully neither Nico nor Stevie has adopted this particular habit.

  • Aw. British Shorthair?

  • yup. she was a pedigree, runt of the litter. a wonderful companion and much loved. died on Easter day a couple of years ago.

we knew she had a heart murmur but she made it to a reasonable age.

  • They're lovely cats. My parents had a blue named Jasper. He was huge but the gentlest cat. We never knew what happened but when he was a kitten we came down one morning and he had a bloody and swollen eye which the vet said there was no saving. He probably had a fight with a neighborhood cat.
But he barely seemed to notice its loss and it made him look a bit more of a tough bruiser.
Sadly in the end he was found on the road, uncharacteristically far from home so I guess we'll never know why he was out there and what happened to him.
He's been gone 5 years now and I still miss him

  • He looks like a great character!

I did want to get another shortie but missed out on a couple of litters and then it was lockdown and all got a bit complicated. Ended up with two moggies which are both awesome.

  • We went away for Christmas and left The Floof Monster at home with a neighbour popping in twice a day for four nights. We got back yesterday lunchtime and sheā€™s not left alone since then. Sheā€™s not a lap cat, but sheā€™s been snuggled up next to us on the armchair, sofa, bed etc all the time. Itā€™s all rather lovely.
