  • What shade of pink though?
I've always bought band on f/d, I guess I'm just a creature of habit.

  • What shade of pink though?

With all them silver parts and dt shifters, Mercier pink could be considered?

  • But with some funky sparkle as others have said...

  • Really like that, think Mercier classed it as rose pink.
Need to ask Winston to chat with Aurum powder coaters to see what is available, or whether they'll buy in whatever I want (obviously at my expense).

  • That Mercier was mine. Unbelievably it's a RAL colour with a metallic lacquer that lightens the tonality. Sorry don't remember the reference. Had a chance to compare the result with Merciers from the correct era with original paint (of course they all have faded to a degree) and it was a really good match.

  • +1 for pink with sparkles. Everything Tory is a no!

  • Not sure about pink with sparkles, but pink base with metallic lacquer is very much a possibility.
Winston is getting bits from Ceeway this week, then he's going to look at powder options once he's sorted tube selection.
We're currently working on bb/chainstay/tyre/chainset clearance, I had considered using a 73mm bb to create a bit more space, but Winston knows what chainset I'm running and all will be well.

  • Do you have a full bike pic of the Mercier?

  • Ouai!

  • That's bloody lovely.

  • Thank you so much, somewhere in between may be the sweet spot for me.

  • Not sure about pink with sparkles

It's loud for sure but I always liked bikes that do not blend in with their environment.

  • Mercier pink is spot on (especially as a backdrop for everyone's favourite unicorn piss!)

  • Any colour of frame can work for any type of bike if the components, styling and complete package is nailed. There is no such thing as ugly colours.

  • Don't wanna be personal, but I think the loads of looks may be because of your cloud with 100s n 1000s head/hair/hat, I know people shouldn't stare, but they do.

  • I see .all Amended.

  • That's cheatin!
Lovely Koga by the way, looks fantastic with deep rims n black finishing kit.

  • I hate to upset people.

  • I’ve always wanted to get a bike painted in the Raleigh/Carlton lilac/pink that they used to do old shopper bikes in - a guy called Dusty on here had and Raleigh SB 753 resprayed in it and I’ve been lusting after it ever since - he had it done by Mario and told me the colour reference is ‘Mario’s Lilac’ - with sparkles 👌

    And merry Christmas!
