  • This was nice - not sure it’s quite worth the money but nice nonetheless

  • Didn't pay much for the label it would seem?

  • ?

Looks like the brewer made a sketch on the back of a fag packet.

  • 9%er in tastes quite watery after last night's 18%er shocker.

There's nice flavour in there still, got higher hopes for the Carolus & St Bernardus Xmas ales to come this week.

  • Much more ripe banana and pine needles going on here

  • This is pretty decent, a thick rich mouthful that tastes like it says on the can. I’ve got the others in the Carribean range to try over Christmas, if they last that long

  • Bought a tin of the panettone stout as a stocking filler for a young shaver. Have you tried it yet?

Every flavoured stout I’ve tasted (exceptions Dark Star Espresso and Youngs Double Chocolate) is ‘powdery’, so I’m wondering what exactly the panettone is doing there : )

  • Not yet. Will report back

  • More Christmas / Winter bangers.

The buffalo one is a b.a. baltic porter, t'other has sat in Laphroaig and Bunnahabhain barrels.

  • One of the local brews in Cheshire, no-frills, nice and easy drinking amber ale

  • I had it the other night on draught. I may have been drinking a bunch of heavy hitting stuff earlier so my recollection is limited to 'hmm, I don't think it was too special, maybe a pint for novelty'.

  • Low expectations here, pleasantly surprised. Cinnamony.

  • I love a DDH Triple, this one was very easy drinking considering it was above 10%.

  • I had such high expectations of that beer given my adoration of both breweries. But it just didn’t hit the mark in my opinion. Both breweries do amazing 8% beers but that one isn’t as good as either of their individual outputs. I’m still dreaming of the single hop motueka dipa Deya did last year.

  • I do have one, but only one. I've been busy on advent calendar beers and a Track order.
