Walking through the meadows in Edinburgh one late night/early morning I found a decently thick wire strung across the path between two trees. If someone had cycled into that at speed it would have garrotted them. I took it down and threw it away but it's haunted me ever since. Who the fuck does that, assuming it was a 'joke' rather than a determined effort to kill someone. Absolute madness.
