my soma smoothie, brought it with a tax rebate back in 2006, it was the bike I had when I joined the forum, before the ti track frame I'd brought by mistake arrived from China.
The bike I was on when I went on the first bridges ride, it got me through two dunwich dynamo's, took me to paris, sunday club runs with brixton cycles, 15mile commutes in the dead of winter to feltham, and general riding duties when I wasn't riding fixed, or needed to do some distance.
I'm swapping the frame out for a slightly younger ti one, and was thinking to sell it on (which would make me sad) to recoup some of the costs of new frame and let someone else get the benefit of such a versatile and reliable frame, but I'm leaning more towards keeping it, for old times sake. And if we ever move into a place big enough, putting it on the wall alongside travel bike..
Keep it for old times sake if you can, I regret shifting all the bikes I've had over the years especially the tourer and the paddy wagon...but yea, dibs if not.
