G-Shock needs some daylight!

Might be the perfect cycling watch for me. Nice but not precious. Doesnt feel like vibration will kill it (unlike Omega/Seiko autos). Can actually read it in the dark - no backlight/digital buttons. Waterproof enough for Welsh audaxes.

I think it's one of these with the bezel insert swapped for a less functional one.

That's a Turn-o-graph Datejust, there are a bunch of versions over the years but they haven't done one recently.

I keep my solar G-shocks rowed up on a shelf so they get regular daylight… too much anxiety if I left them in a drawer.

About the same. I'm in a north facing flat so don't get much direct sunlight, I'm constantly moving it around the place and putting it where it's brightest.

Yeah. Doesn't feel like a winter watch to me.

my analogue, solar G shock goes into hibernation mode if left in a draw for too long.
I found this out when I dug it out and all the hands were sat at 12.
Then it went batshit spinning round while it got sunlight and radio waves to set the time.

Was much fun.

It’s second hand from ‘82, brought it fully serviced with new battery and glass.

I like vintages watch, just not vintages movement or faux vintage like the MWC.

I’ve been wearing mine constantly since I bought it recently (which is why I bought it). Ditched the slightly OTT Kevlar strap for a cheap canvas one, though the rubber strap I ordered will probably be the most useful on this.
