Balsam Hill won't help repair it so it is destined for landfill. It's a 7" Nordmann Fir artificial tree with built-in lights.
However, Persephone climbed the tree and got tangled in the light cables and was crying and screaming as she hung in pain, so to rescue her the wires were cut either side of where she was trapped. Result: Freed the cat, but now the lights on the tree are dead.
Unfortunately with 3 wires each side, no markings on the wires, and 2 cuts... it's not obvious how to repair it.
Oh well. My partner hated the tree for how much space it took so I guess this is all just a sign that I should take it to the dump.
Could you not just get some battery power fairy lights for your Christmas tree? Sounds like your mind is made up though. Maybe freecycle, is that still a thing in London?
