Very strong performance by Ulrich. Down to 9th after his mechanicals and fighting back to first place.

It's in a reply to one of his own tweets so need to look at replies too, about a couple of days ago.
He reckons its due to excess snot rather than corona. He's not a doctor but I guess he is always right.

I'm fine. It wasn't Covid, as I said, just a cold that made me feel like I was riding at altitude all the time. I'm obviously annoyed at bailing but with all the mechanicals and then not getting any better with the cold I'd picked up I called it before going further west and making a the return to Barca a problem. I still had 3 weeks and did ~2000km in Spain so it's not a total waste of time eh?

Only spoke to her briefly before the start this time and didn't find out until after I'd pulled the pin as I was paying no attention to tracker or socials other than direct responses to my own tweets.

Could've happened to any of us - when I think of the number of close calls I've had with animals at night it gives me shivers.

Looks like Ana is coming back to the bicycle... and recovering the strength in his legs.
Awsome how she is recovering after 2-3 months in a very bad situation.

Because it is a 'nice' climbs chaining.

It forces to take the first climb from a 'different' environment (some riders did gravel route to save a few kilometers) and ends in Segovia (a nice medieval city)

It is a tribute to the mountains of Madrid, the riders will be able to offer you a better opinion/answer
