Yeah that's the same size. I'll give it a measure of the tread depth tonight.
Up to you but if they're similar depth then I'd not bother putting 2 brand new on and just replace the fucked one with this one that's coming off.
Although if you need it done ASAP, might be an issue, I'm booked in to have the tyres done on Monday.

None of the japanese import elgrand type things interest you

I would love something like that, but my wife wants something a little smaller.
S-Max is current front runner. I think the answer is to buy a people mover and then buy myself a hot hatch at the same time.

Does it have to be 7?
I've recently discovered the Honda FR-V with 3 seats up front (6 total) and I don't hate it.
-
• #69183
It’s more the 3 row of seats we need, as we often have 4 kids car seats. Else I would be going with a bench seat in the front.

Make sure it is the one with the 2.0l Vtec K-series - sublime engine
-
• #69185
Not a massive amount of room in the 3rd row of seats in the smax but I guess it depends how old your kids are. Not much boot space either
Ours is the 1.6 ecoboost - not been great, reasonable to drive though . -

here you go :

Under £10k - but in Spain - could be a nice road trip to drive it back?!
-
• #69187
When we take all four (not all mine!) they are 1,4,6 and 8. So don’t need much leg room!
-
• #69188
Yes. Or 505 GTi.
-
• #69189
Think my wife may have something to say about the wheel being on the wrong side.
We always used to have 7 seat volvo estates when we were younger, no one liked sitting in the back, facing the wrong way…

I just locked and unlocked my car with my phone, which felt a bit peculiar
-
• #69191
It's all fun until you unlock it, and then can't lock it again as you're being driven away on a P+R bus. I'm looking at you, Dad. 🙄
Or, you have a 3G modem in your car providing connectivity and the 3G is being 'sunset'... Oh heyyyyy Volvo. 🙄🙄

• #69192
We have four (all mine!) 3, 5, 7 and 9. The rear ones are ok for smaller ones but a pain if you have strap them in or assist with seatbelts. Not much room between them and rear if there is a rear shunt either
-
• #69193
I can do that.
I do have to sellotape the key to the phone, mind you. -
• #69194
I had a lift in a Honda Stepwgn the other day.
Absolutely incredible car, don't know why everyone doesn't own one.
Insanely practical, ULEZ exempt, stupid reliable, comfortable to sit in for 10hrs, plenty cheap. -
• #69195
Interesting, thank you, would probably be shoving the 4 and 6 years old back there, they can both do their own seat belts. To be fair 80% of journeys will be just with 2 kids, and just needing boot space ( can shove the 2 dogs in easily).
-
• #69196
See I would love one of these, would happily have a day van, but they get vetoed by my other half, which is of course her prerogative to do so…
-
• #69197
Smax is fine. Really good for older kids as has separate middle row seats = less fighting. Rear row is for short journeys only but useful. Big old space, not too awful to drive, not very economical. Would prefer something more exciting but has done the family job well - tip runs, camping for 5 in France, skiing runs, booze cruises etc.

Honda Stepwgn
always wonder why these aren't more popular here... UK's growing fetish for gross SUVs is to blame i feel
-
• #69199
speaking of gross SUVs. saw one of these parked outside a dealership the other day. completely horrible

Anyone got any experience with the Volvo S40? Specifically, fitting a pram in the boot.
Is it too small? Do I just need to wait for a good estate car to turn up?
Are there any non-shit 7 seat cars?! for less than £10k that is.
