To my shame I never popped by there when my partners folks were living just off the Windmill Rd, so only a short walk away.

If anyone finds themselves in SE London this weekend, Beer Shop Nunhead have a Pohjala tap takeover.

Tonight's libation is the Northern Monk Death Star ep 2.
Didn't realise it was a 12% when I grabbed it from the fridge (might not have drunk this on a Monday had I noticed)
Pretty sweet, strong on the caramel. Not really getting peanut.
You can tell it's an imperial, but not overwhelmingly booze-y.
Fairly sure it was a fiver in Tesco.

If you like strong flavours, brown sugar, molasses heading towards kinda bretted, wine barrel aged finish, then hit up one of these.

Was that bought a while ago or is it new in?

Haven't had one for a while and it's not a porter but the De Dochter van de Korenaar – Charbon smoked vanilla stout was always amazing

Alas, it is too expensive to be my daily driver, but am having one tonight as I was feeling fancy

I’m sure it’s probably been said a while ago, but staggeringly good wrecker series is a winner.

I just want to come clean to this thread and say I’m really not a fan of stout/porters. Sorry 😞

I feel a bit like that sometimes too.

My xmas order came this week - 24 bottles mix of bitter, ale, lager and a mini keg of Joseph Holt Bitter. Hopefully I don’t have to drink this lot to myself again.
