  • would never buy rene herse again. leaked sealant and wouldn't stay on the rim. Panaracer are cheaper, more consistent and only a little bit heavier.

    Well Rene Herse are made by Panracer. But I had good luck by installing a tube first for 24 hours first and then feeding the tyres lots of sealant. I'm still running Fleecer ridge on my gravel wheels.

    for 90% of applications you can find some Gravel Kings to fit your needs, for the other 10% you've got Vittoria.

  • Yeah, I think Rene Herse sidewalls are too thin for the manufacturing at Panaracer to deliver reliably. I’ve never had any issues with Panaracer brand tyres but Rene Herse / Compss had loads… and were double the price.

    Funnily enough I’ve switched to Gravel Kings and Vitoria tyres for everything now!
