After a successful season a claim was made. But a F1 fan at the underwriter couldn't recall seeing this sponsor having any advertising on the car.
This was confirmed and the claim denied. It was also noted that a company with a £2 million turnover couldn't sponsor a F1 team for £12 million.
At the time I recall the F1 correspondent of the Times making enquiries and believe he wrote it up: would have been in the early/mid-Nineties.
