If that was for me, then I probably didn't make myself clear. I also need one in silver, but silver and 18 holes.
-
• #10928
18? They're 16h aren't they? If you do as mentioned you can use any rim that comes in 20h and 32h versions and skip every other hole lacing the front hub to the 32h rim, to I'd probably still go with XR31Ts though as 16 spokes isn't many and they're nice and strong.

Ah wait, I'm confused now.

Yes but no, not a fan of drillium. Not here to argue but, ya know, if hunt cant keep up with the demand for their silver polished wheelsets I find it hard to believe no one wants the kinlin xr31 with that same finish, I guess I will try to get them on aliexpress or whatever. Bet they will look swell with my full DA 7900 groupset, poor with class innit.
Edit: ah nice, I feel like I m at the pub, at this level of confusion fists are already flying. -

I'm confused
local boy wants 16, jesper wants 18. Both are relatively easy to get in black, but they both want silver. I have a feeling somebody is going to mention oven cleaner very soon 🙂

I have a couple of spare Park TS-7 stands that I use for lessons. You'd be welcome to borrow one.

Need to replace wheel bearings in a novatec rear hub and freewheel. I have a icetoolz for knocking out BB bearings, is their a similar tool for hubs?
-
• #10947
There are, although it depends on the design of the hubs whether you'll need one of not. I think on Novatec hubs you can just use the axle as a drift to get the bearings out as the axles have shoulders on them for the inner races.

I'd like to build a rear wheel, would this setup work ?
-Carbon rim, 24h, 50mm deep. Another option would be the H+Son SL42 with 32h drilling, but it's heavy af
-Freewheel hub, 120mm OLD, 32h
-Triplet lacing (8:16), skipping every other hole on the NDS flange. NDS would be radial and DS
would be 1x or 2x
-For rim brakes

Probably the easiest way to do it.
