Bro. Where are you? How is the diving?
-
• #59503
Maldives, and it's brilliant. Seen turtles, rays, puffer fish, octopus, jellyfish, countless types of fish. Perfectly clear water.

We did that 2 years ago. Cannot wait to go back. Which resort?
-
• #59508
Cocoon. Chosen almost solely because the room we wanted would have a sunset view. Definitely want to come back at some point but all going well the next couple of years will be house buying/family starting so god knows when that would be. Making the most of it.

Wise man.

Agreed.

It be funny if you found the watch to be impractical for diving! (TBF, a lots of them are the same).
-
• #59512
Well it's not practical in that it doesn't show depth, air etc. But you can read the dial so that's nice.

Nice watch in a nice place. What else do you want...

True to form my 1968 chonostop that I just had back from STS has gone on ebay to pay for the ( potential ) purchase of the 1998 Speedmaster professional that I am still trying to buy ...........

Got the itch again. Still quite fancy an SPB143. Or a rail master.
-
• #59516
That's quite a big contrast between the two watches!
I have an itch for a Doxa Sub 300/t, good thing they're very very expensive.

You can still find a good deal 2nd hand. That’s what I did 👍

Both nice every-day wears though. I guess functional but not fussy. Maybe a Sinn, also.
Doxas are great - a mate who dives a lot has a couple of them and they’re pretty unique and not really that well known.

SPB143 definitely wear great as a daily watch with a nice rubber/fabric strap that’s for sure.

What slightly made it off for me is the larger bezel, once they mentioned it’s bigger than typically, I can’t unsee it.

Helm arrived the other day , they seem to manage the demand well , I bought one a year or so ago .My wife lived the white dial and bluish lume and promptly started wearing it .. good summer watch ., I never stood a chance .
I went on their list and you get 48hrs to buy one when they release new stock
Very good watch for the money , I tried black dial
