As I have sadly learnt, carrying an assault rifle is legal and normal. There is no intent, not under the law as it stands.
You seem to think that accepting the facts, as disgusting as they are, is sympathising. Its not. Its tragic from start to end. But the problem is that the situation was even possible. The law is broken from the beginning, but it seems he did not brake the law, as undigestable and morally repugnant as it is.
