Pixel 4a you can tap to pay without unlocking with Google Pay, shows a little credit card icon on the lock screen to remind you its on.

contactless payments without unlocking the phone
I'm surprised this is a feature, seems a bit risky. I've never found unlocking my phone to pay an issue with a fingerprint sensor.

Contactless payment. The Barclays app, for all its many many faults, allows contactless payments without unlocking the phone. Do Google Pay and/or Samsung Pay allow that as well, or if I switch to one of them am I entering a world of "oh bugger sorry the phone is locked sorry sorry" pain?
