Few here. Excellent ride, broadly speaking. Levels of mud made things a bit tasty in places, particularly for @Skülly. Seen here carry his bike after the rear wheel stopped rotating.
Much muttering about widening spacing and a puncture later and things were sorted.
Decision to sack off muddy fields in the second half of the ride was the correct one.
Worzel Gummidge wheel made an appearance.

Likewise! @PeteJChurchill @Alex_B Enjoyable trip y'all... thanks for the route, company and the badly-needed tow in the last miles. I'll post some pics when I've fathom'd Dropbox's horrible image handling (it's me, not it) : )

Some lovely pics^^ I pretend I like to stay in the moment, actually I just found it hard to stop cycling and faff about with my stupid phone case thing.
@vilms5000 Just try uploading here… small versions work better. Sometimes they go in sideways off my phone when I select medium or large compressed versions, I recrop them a tiny bit then it seems to work.

Got knobblies. Think I'm going to do Ma3k's Southend offroad route on Sunday, if anyone fancies joining me they're welcome. Going quite early. Will join the route around Beckton coming from the Woolwich crossing. Hoping to get to Southend by 3-4 to pop into an exhibition of the East London Group at Beecroft Gallery that closes at 5... long shot really, I am slow ... maybe just chips and a pint if not.
John @|³|MA3K's Route on bikemap (I have extracted the GPX if anyone wants)...
https://www.bikemap.net/en/r/2943241/Sorry @SteadyCam it's not south. Let us know if you have a route down your way that might be nice, circular ones are good cos return trains

As OS is recommending this will take ~7hrs, I guess i need to be cracking along by 8am. Will probably go at 7 then, those predictions are never generous for me.

Some ideas for next year:
Very early in NY/Christmas - a circular ride around London using the canals
Start around Kingston, follow the river and then at Kew (north bank) follow the canal up to Bulls Bridge and then across the Paddington Arm, looping down the Lea River navigation and then back to Kings Cross.Other ideas:
A swimming ride (repeat of the route from Dorking?)
A trip to Sutton Hoo and the ship burial, then up the Peddars Way, perhaps with a camp out near Dunwich?
South Downs/Shoreham loop
Southend off-roadIt would be good to throw some dates in the diary.

A couple of these sound like excellent ideas. Trip to Sutton Hoo would be lovely.
Not ridden much on the canals around town, but also sounds interesting.

Does anyone fancy doing the South Downs Shoreham loop the weekend of the 18th?
Not sure if Saturday or Sunday yet.
About 40 miles, 5 hours.
Good to meet you.
