  • So I've had this Telecaster for years and years... It's a Squier Master Series Thinline HH.
    As an uncouth youth I did a bad job of spraying a Goldtop finish on it and I've just removed it with a bit of thinners and some elbow grease.
    I also loaned it to a friend for a while and it suffered a few bangs and knocks during that time which have left it with a few chips and dings around the back and sides...

    Would I be absolutely bonkers to get the incredible man in Wales who refinished my PRS to refinish it or should I just leave it be?

    On one hand how many set neck, thinline Telecasters are there out there but on the other hand it is a lowly Squier and the refinish is going to cost a fair chunk of the value of the guitar...

    Thoughts?

  • I'd be tempted to leave it as is. Looks decent & it's nice having a guitar that's been bashed about a bit, means you don't feel sad when you add another scrape!
