  • Option C: Fill the dings, order some cans of nitro and try finishing it yourself.

    I've done a nitro finish on a couple of my guitars, I don't think I'd do it again. Unless you want to do it for the experience, or really enjoy finishing, it's 100% not worth the money not to get Rich ("The Welsh Paint Wizard") to do it. I think a sunburst telecaster body in nitro was £140 when he did one of mine.

    Mine took ages, needed a lot of sanding and the finish was only 'ok'. I'm actually thinking of getting Rich to refinish one of them.

  • I spoke to him today actually and it would be £220 for the refinish as it's set neck but to make matters worse I'll be passing by his neck of the woods at the weekend so I can drop it off to him...

    I was thinking of going for an 80s Telecaster Elite style burst...
