  • Love the Green in top shot...............is that a hint of aurora borealis.

  • Yeah, absolutely it is, really strong display to be seen over the city lights!

  • Like the Swan

  • Took the 350d and eos100 out to my first proper floor show since pre-covid on Friday. Whole room was barely lit and I'm anti flash-in-people's-faces so just used what was available. Didn't bother with the eos100 as I figured I'd just be burning cash with no results.

There was a guy loitering around the edge with a 5d, flash and diffuser whilst I duly got covered in beer at the front but managed to keep the camera relatively clear whilst not worrying too much. Body and lens would be like £50 replacement off ebay if it died.
Anyway, reminiscent of the MySpace band photo era, got some fun noisy shots at its max 1600iso

  • The drummer is really great @Yukirin

I've also had my share of 'fun' trying to take band shots in small dark venues. The aesthetic definitely works for heavy bands, thankfully. All taken on X100, 1600 iso, 2 stops under exposed.

Strongly inspired by Stefaan Temmerman's work with Amenra.

  • Thanks! You got to feel for the drummers, if it's not a staged shoot then they're nearly always either a blurred mess or have a giant brass disc across their face!
Love Temmerman's work with Amenra, in a very crowded space they have got a visual identity that's recognisable. Nice work you posted!

  • either a blurred mess or have a giant brass disc across their face

    Or an amp bobblehead, haha!

  • Recently done a bit if investing in my gear to start expanding on video work and upgraded my Fuji X-E1 to an X-T3. While I really enjoyed the colour and format of the E1 I’m absolutely delighted with the T3 as it improves on all fronts and the colours are 😍

Haven’t taken it out properly but thought I’d share a couple quick shots I’ve taken so far…

  • very nice colours indeed.. so creamy..

  • Calatheas in impressive form too! Ours have brown tips despite daily spritzing.

  • Couldn't be happier! It also seems to have tons more dynamic range than the E1, which is the one thing I had struggled with especially having used film exclusively for years before that.

@Tijmen not my plants alas, but outside a local plant shop! Made me want to buy one thought, very beautiful plants

  • Out takes from this week's photo challenge that came out far too far from "sinister". 30s exposures and battery fairy lights.
