Is that the biggest tyres it will take? What size frame do you ride?

It fits 28mm actually, which is very modern for a 2002 bike and it's 58cm. I'm just trying to get through the next few months without buying more bike parts...

Well what are you waiting for? Throw some 28s on that beast.

I was going to offer you my Tarmac - it's a 2004 model maybe and takes 28s.
It's a 56 but it's a proper race bike so with a longer stem you'd probably be fine.
