Not sure on Android 12 . I feel like an old man trying to use a phone again!

Super impressed that Google and Twitter continue to push ads in my timeline for the Pixel 6 headphone offer that ended 5 days ago.

I think in the appearance settings you can choose from three pallette options that it makes from your wallpaper

But now the lack of speed on the sensor is frustrating me

The USB socket on my S20 stopped working so Samsung sent somebody over to fix it! Nice little workshop in the back of their van.
20 minutes to crack open an S20, replace the USB board and put a new case on it. Quite impressed! Was only a two day lead time for the appointment too.

Pixel 6 is now available for £441. Looks like some pretty aggressive pricing from google, although surprising to see such deep discounts so early.

Pixel 6 is now available for £441.
Still £599 on the Pixel store though.

It's £441 on vodafone. Not sure whether that is locked or not, don't know whether that is still a thing any more.

Believe you need to take out an airtime contract (pay for the handset via single but contract payment) then cancel that during the cooling off period of 14 days. Voila!
YMMV etc. you may get a grumpy cs agent, but consumer law enables this.
But I did this successfully with O2 with a Pixel 4 a couple of years back.

wonder if i could do this as i already have a sim only vodafone contract...? hmmm...
might have to swing by the local voda shop tomorrow...£703 for the pro.

aside from the fact that spending £600, let alone £850 on a phone is fucking ludicrous
Well it's not £600 or £850. So...
-
• #21664
hah!
i'm not going to get the pro, just wondered what the price was on the vodagroan site...£441 seems quite a lot less ludicrous than £600
then again, i've just spent nearly as much on a kitchen sink (golf thread etc.)

My typing accuracy seems to have taken a nosedive since moving to the pixel 6. Wonder if it's just getting 7sed to the new screen size.
-
• #21666
I think android has had adaptive typing for a while and over time learns your hotspots so maybe you're used to your old phone knowing your habits and the new one will have to take a while to learn them

Changed from gboard to Ms SwiftKey on my 5 and having similar issues. Festerbans suggestion seems reasonable and would make sense.

Put my details for the Bose headphones this morning, all been approved.
Delivery will be within the next 60 days. Lol.
-
• #21669
Yup. Now, do you run the risk of assigning them as a Christmas gift for somebody?!
Think I'm going to sell and then top up (?) And get the Sony wh-1000xm4 - current xm2 owner. Need a trip to JL to test them both out I guess. Won't be breaking the box seal until I've done that at least!

Yeah exactly.
I've got some Sony WH-H900 which I've had for a few years and have been great. Not sure the Bose would be much of an upgrade, although apparently the noise cancelling is better and in normal times I do have to travel for work a fair bit.

My case arrived today and i'm no longer living in fear of my Pixel 6 Pro falling out of my hand. It's a slippery little one... chunky now mind.

I was tempted by the bellroy leather ones, then I came to my senses about a £45 case.
Screen and camera lens protectors, yay or nay? If so, which ones? I've never had a phone this expensive so quite paranoid...

My Pixel 4a keyboard glide typing is still rubbish after over a year of use, whilst the Moto G7 it replaced was almost supernaturally accurate.

I've just ordered a £4 China special off eBay. Will see how bad it is. I'm going to get a screen protector too. I've had too many scratched screens not to (and every phone I've ever owned has also claimed to have the latest gorilla glass invinciblium, all bollocks of course.
Headphone application was approved in about 0.4 seconds.

If anyone else was having the at a glance not showing weather issue I found a fix that worked on my 4a.

I assume Google are now gouging my data profile even more than they already were....
That's tomorrow, I'll let you off, but make sure you get a good night's sleep.
