It is a cracking loop.
Pub is never a bad idea so yes, that's something we should definitely do. A Thursday would work as it gets me out of office piss ups, location TBC but 18th November perhaps?

+1 for the Cambridge 'thing' if it's indeed a 'thing' #thing
Only caveat is: I've just bought some CX Pro tyres (the only BIG nobbles I could find in a 30-622) for this, so I need to do a test ride beforehand to see how much of the Cambridge route will be bike flipped while I change yet another tube : /

List? Cambridge on Sunday 14th November. I'll be coming from Greenwich so a bit of a mission wherever we start, I'll let those with local knowledge make a call on the starting point and I'll get there by hook or by crook.

I’d most likely go to North Finchley from Upper Holloway.
That @PeteJChurchill suggested assembly point at Broxbourne Woods suggests rail options from KGX and LST can put you in the area (but not exactly on top of it).

Yup. Definitely in for this.
Perhaps meeting at Potters Bar station? Would that work for those coming from a bit further afield?
Easy to work with train times.
-
• #532
That would definitely work for me!
-
• #533
Yep, Potters Bar station works. Not a lot of daylight hours so we should set off early, meet for an 8:30 start ok or is that a bit too punchy?

Yeah works for me.

• #536
Early for me yes please.
Will figure out if I’m joining at PB station or rendezvous slightly east / down route from there like Broxbourne.

• #537
Cheers for bumping this.

@Skülly @ElGonzo I have been summoned. I have also been feeling slightly guilty with my lack of activity in this thread. Unfortunately I have a Christening I am to attend on the 14h! No it’s not me that has recently found Christ.
Have a lovely time though, I want to see lots of pictures, thanks for the @ !

Need to check with the family, but provisionally yes.
Can you @ me for future rides?Does anyone want to ride part-way to Brighton with the old cars this Sunday?
I'm planning to ride about halfway there and then head home via NCN21.
I'll add more details later today, but 8am start from Streatham on Sunday 7th.

Meant to when i first re-suggested Cambridge.
I’m a ‘no’ for this weekend.

That’s not what this thread is about, no guilt is allowed.

Weather’s reported to cheer up.
Re: tyres, who’s got a clue as to how much mud we’ll be in, ie. semi-knobblies or proper MTB tyres?
-

Can anyone post the .gpx? Can’t figger out how to extract it from komoot without paying them
@ElGonzo finally got to ride the Shoreham loop that you so bravely recced for me. It was great. Definitely a really good mix of the types of trails that I love.
I think (maybe an executive decision) that we should have a catch up in a pub one evening and plan some rides properly - dates in the calendar in advance like the grown ups do.
